Matt grew up in Dalhart. Matt currently serves as a lay elder. He teaches classes at LBC and enjoys spending time with church members.

He is married to his wife, Jordan, and the two have three awesome kids, Walker, Emma, and Sawyer. 

After graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics, he and his wife moved to North Carolina where he earned his degree of Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a fourth generation farmer and currently farms east of Dalhart with his family. 

Matt enjoys spending time with his family, farming, fly fishing, and traveling.
